Krall has won three Grammy Awards and eight Juno Awards. She also has earned nine gold, three platinum, and seven multi-platinum albums.

Das brandneue Album von Paul McCartney, Kisses On The Bottom, zeigt den ex-Beatle von einer neuen Seite. Er arbeitet hier mit der grossartigen Jazzpianisten und Sängerin Diana Krall zusammen, die allerdings bei diesen Aufnahmen stumm bleibt. Da lohnt es sich, ihre herausragenden Alben wie The Girl in the Other Room, When I Look in Your Eyes und The Look of Love hervorzuholen (MP3 Downloads bei Amazon.de und Amazon.co.uk). Auf Kisses On The Bottom steuert Diana Krall das Klavierspiel und das Rhythmus-Arrangement bei.

Paul McCartney wollte schon immer ein Album mit der Musik seiner Eltern machen. Dank dem Produzenten Tommy LiPuma, der schon mit Al Jarreau, George Benson, Antonio Carlos Jobim und vielen anderen Musikgrössen gearbeitet hat, fand er mit Diana Krall und ihrer Band zusammen. Die drei wählten dann eine Reihe von Songs aus, die in Frage kamen. Paul McCartney steuerte zudem zwei Eigenkompositionen bei, My Valentine und Only Our Hearts, bei welchen Stevie Wonder und Eric Clapton als Gastmusiker mitwirkten.

 Unter den Künstlern seiner Kindheit, die ihn musikalisch beeinflussten, zitiert Paul McCartney Fred Astaire, Harold Arlen, die Gershwin-Brüder und Cole Porter. Cheeck to Cheeck sei immer einer seiner Lieblingssongs gewesen. ...
